Blair Alward - Keyboards
Blair's musical journey began shortly after high school when he began playing
the guitar. He joined a garage band called Danger: High Voltage, and for the next
few years made Friday nights a ritual playing 70's and 80's classic rock.
With influences including Gowan and Billy Joel, it was only a matter of
time before he would make the switch to playing keyboards. A self-taught musician,
Blair took what he had learned on the guitar and applied it to playing the piano
in early '95.
In the last few years Blair has had the opportunity to play with a number of different
musicians with varying backgrounds. He has enjoyed experimenting with a variety
of music while developing his own unique style of playing.
Blair also has experience writing his own original material in collaboration
with other musicians, and on his own.
Doug Livingstone - Bass and Vocals
Doug began his musical career in Cape Breton and has more than twenty years
experience playing in Halifax area bands such as Nyanza and Replay - featuring rock
and roll dance music. Besides playing in many pubs and clubs over the years, his
band was one of the featured acts at the Festival of Lights on the Dartmouth waterfront
in the past.
Robert Collins - Drums and Vocals
Robert started playing the drums at the age of twelve. Throughout high school
he played in a number of local bands in the Annapolis Valley. At the age of seventeen
he began to study music at St. F. X. University. During his five years there, Robert played with several bands including the ST. F. X. Big Band. He graduated
with a Diploma in Jazz Studies, B. A. (Music Major) and B. Ed.
Robert then moved to Toronto and played with a blues band, as well
as with a top 40's group. He returned to Nova Scotia in 1989 and focused on
playing drums,
song writing and recording.
Robert has taught music in public schools for ten years and during this time played
with various bands on the South Shore, as well as with Halifax bands King Pleasure
and County Line.
